This morning, Zogenix, Inc. (NASDAQ:ZGNX), a pharmaceutical company developing therapies for the treatment of rare central nervous system disorders, reported positive top-line results from its first Phase 3 trial for its investigational drug, ZX008 (low-dose fenfluramine hydrochloride), for the treatment of Dravet syndrome. This directly competes with one of GW Pharma's drugs, sending shares of GWPHdown over 12% in pre-market trading.
Friday Night Inc. (CSE:TGIF) (OTC:VPGDF) (FRA:1QF)
This morning, Friday Night Inc.announced that the company entered into an exclusive licensing transaction with hip-hop artist, Kurupt. On September 15th, 2017, the brand granted exclusive rights to Alternative Medicine Association, LC. to grow, process and distribute "The Real Kurupt's MoonRock" in Nevada. Kurupt is an influential hip-hop artist having served as the Executive Vice President of Death Row Records, and was instrumental in the early careers of some of the biggest names in that genre, from 2Pac and Warren G to Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
Zynerba Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:ZYNE)
Yesterday, Zynerba Pharmaceuticals, Inc.announced positive top line results from an open label exploratory CBD-based Phase 2 clinical trial of the company's "FAB-C" drug candidate for the treatment of Fragile X Syndrome Anxiety and Behavioral Challenges. The clinical trial was evaluating ZYNE's ZYN002 cannabidiol, a.k.a. CBD gel in pediatric and adolescent patients with Fragile X syndrome. ZYNE shorts are being squeezed, and we'll be watching to see how today plays out.
